In the 1970’s, Oshwal Youth League Women’s Wing was established as a sub-committee of Oshwal Youth League. Like the Oshwal Youth League, Women’s Wing gave Oshwal ladies an opportunity to partake in development and leadership programs of their own, as well as through their participation in all Oshwal Youth League’s project. Women’s Wing gave ladies a forum to express themselves, their entrepreneurial skills and talents away from home. Women’s Wing have brought a cosmopolitan flair to Oshwal Youth League’s activities through numerous projects such as, dinners & dances, travel tours, fashion shows, theatrical dramas just to mention a few of their out of the box ideas.
Women’s Wing have made Oshwal Youth League shine through their charitable projects, “The Gift of Sight” being one of its most successful and renowned projects to date.
In recent years, the main committee of Oshwal Youth League and Women’s Wing have joined forces on numerous projects, including the annual hosting of Navratri, Diwali Art Competition and are also known to give back to the seniors Oshwals by organising various lunches and organised tours to neighbouring cities and towns.
